Delhi might experience its first heatwave of the year on Tuesday (April 21, 2026), with the weather office forecasting that the maximum temperature may touch 41 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature settled at 20.5°C, about 2.2 degrees below normal, according to official data. Safdarjung recorded a minimum temperature of 20.5°C, 2.2 degrees below normal, while Palam reported 22.2°C, 1.1 degrees below normal.

Lodhi Road logged 18.8°C, 3.2 degrees below normal, while Ridge recorded 22.3°C, 0.8 degrees below normal. Ayanagar registered a minimum temperature of 21.2°C, 1.2 degrees below normal.
The weather office has said heatwave conditions are likely to persist from April 22 to April 24, with maximum temperatures expected to rise further and reach up to 43°C during this period.
