MOSCOW, April 21. /TASS/. Russian troops have taken control of 80 communities and more than 1,700 square kilometers of territory and fully liberated the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) since early this year in the special military operation in Ukraine, Chief of Russia’s General Staff Army General Valery Gerasimov said.
The Russian military chief also said that the Ukrainian military command tries to conceal its failure and claims the return of allegedly 480 sq. km of territory.

In March-April, Russian troops liberated 34 settlements and about 700 square kilometers of territory in the special military operation area.
