Australian Consul General Hilary McGeachy and Dakshina Kannada Member of Parliament Capt. Brijesh Chowta met in Mangaluru on Monday and discussed collaboration in tourism and education.
“We spoke about collaboration in adventure water sports, tourism, and partnerships with Australian universities for sports curriculum development,” Capt. Chowta posted on X.
“Such initiatives will open new avenues for our youth, equipping them with global exposure and skills, while contributing to the vision of a Viksit Bharat,” he wrote.
Capt. Chowta said he met the Australian Consul General for the second time on Monday and carried forward earlier discussions.
“Encouraging to see how much we have in common, particularly as coastal regions with shared opportunities,” the MP posted.
