NoRKA-Roots, the field agency of the Department of Non-Resident Keralites Affairs, has invited applications for the recruitment for the posts of electrician and chef in various institutions in Germany. The recruitment is being done in collaboration with the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce as part of the German government’s Hand-in-Hand for International Talents (HiH) programme.

The recruitment is also for 20 vacancies in each category. For the post of electrician, a recognised Diploma/ITI/B.Tech educational qualification in electrical or electronics engineering and two to ten years of work experience is required. Those with more than 10 years of work experience need not apply. Applicants should also have experience in the fields of electrical and control engineering and machine safety. Candidates applying for the post of chef should have a degree in any of the following: hotel management, hotel management and catering technology, tourism and travel management.

Preference will be given to those who have completed a four-year degree. Applications should be submitted by visiting the website www.norkaroots.kerala.gov.in along with a detailed CV and copies of education, work experience, passport and language proficiency by 30th April 2026. German language qualification is not essential for application. However, preference will be given to those who currently have German language qualifications (A1, A2, B1, B2). If selected, the applicants should be prepared to study German up to B-One (B1) for 12 months.
