Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who turned 76, received birthday greetings on Monday (April 20, 2026) from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his Telangana, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Sikkim counterparts, his political rivals in Andhra Pradesh, and senior actors from the Telugu film industry.

In a post on X, Mr. Modi described Mr. Naidu as a “hardworking Chief Minister” and a good friend. He said Andhra Pradesh was “scaling new heights of progress” under Mr. Naidu and wished him a long and healthy life in public service.

Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan, in a message in Telugu on X, said Mr. Naidu had set goals such as the construction of the State capital and the completion of the Polavaram project. He said the Chief Minister was working to position Andhra Pradesh as an investment destination and create jobs for the youth.
