All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president Asaduddin Owaisi sought the return of the mortal remains of a Hyderabad resident who, he said, died in Dubai under “unknown circumstances”.
Mohammed Arief Ahmed, a resident of Yakutpura, had travelled to Dubai for a sales executive position at Sharjah Airport, he said. Mr Ahmed is reported to have died there under circumstances that remain unclear.
In a letter to the Consul General of India in Dubai, UAE, Mr. Owaisi said the bereaved family wishes to perform the last rites in Hyderabad. Seeking the repatriation of the mortal remains, he requested the Indian mission’s assistance and support in this regard.
