The concluding ceremony of the Jnana Prabodhini Competitive Examination Centre’s 30th anniversary year was held at the MMRDA Hall, Bandra Kurla Complex. Dr. Shrikar Pardeshi, IAS, Principal Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office and an alumnus of the centre, was felicitated by Dr. Sadanand Date, IPS, Director General of Police, Maharashtra State.
Dr. Pardeshi, in his address, spoke about his work in student verification, campaigns against illegal construction, projects during the COVID-19 period, and training of administrative staff. He said these efforts were part of an administration that focuses on the community.
Dr. Date shared his experiences in police administration, the 26/11 attacks, and the creation of ‘Force One’. He said one must be prepared to practise what one preaches.
A film on the centre’s three decades was screened. Dr. Girish Bapat, Director of Jnana Prabodhini, said a person must work consistently and have patience to see results.
Officers associated with the centre – Mr. Sunil Limaye (IFS, Retd.), Dr. Vivek Wadekar (IRS, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Pune), Mr. Atulchandra Kulkarni (IPS, Retd.), Mrs. Vidyut Varkhedkar (Joint Secretary, Chief Minister’s Office), Mrs. Prachi Jambhekar (Deputy Commissioner, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation), and Mr. Ajay Kautikwar from media and business – shared their views on ‘Developed Maharashtra 2047’.
