DMK on Sunday announced ‘Chennai Super Six,’ a list of election promises for the civic infrastructure growth, development and residents’ welfare in Assembly constituencies of Chennai.
Releasing the manifesto for Chennai on Sunday, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin said: “If it is Chennai’s development, it is the DMK. The DMK has played the greatest role in infrastructure development of Chennai. These promises will ensure growth and development of Chennai.”
According to the manifesto, the DMK has promised to complete Metro Rail extension work by 2028 across the city. If the DMK government is elected to power, the State government will introduce 1,000 new minibuses to connect bus stands, metro stations, railway stations with each of the interior roads in the city.
Similar to the proposed corridor connecting Ennore with Poonjeri, the State government will implement ten new projects to ease traffic congestion by 2027. Work on stormwater drains will be completed by 2028 while sewer network will be completed by 2027. Projects for well-designed roads, footpaths, trees and toilets will be implemented by 2029.
In a bid to prevent dog bite cases, the number of veterinary surgeons and dog catchers will be increased three fold.
