Sri Sankara Jayanti will be celebrated in Belagavi on Tuesday.
Minister Satish Jarkiholi will inaugurate the event at Datta Mandir in Guruprasad Nagar at 10.30 a.m.
It will be jointly organised by the district administration, the Zilla Panchayat, the Kannada and Culture Department and the city corporation.
Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar will be the chief guest. MLA Abhay Patil will preside over it.
Chidambar Munavalli, who retired as Assistant General Manager of Syndicate Bank, Belagavi, will deliver a special lecture.
