Maximum temperatures continued to rise sharply across Telangana on Sunday (April 19, 2026), with several districts experiencing severe heat conditions.
The data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TDGPS) showed that 10 districts recorded temperatures exceeding 44°C, while 13 districts experienced temperatures between 43°C and 44°C. The remaining 10 districts reported temperatures ranging from 41°C to 43°C, indicating a widespread heatwave across the State.
Kerameri in the Kumaram Bheem Asifabad district emerged as the hottest location, recording a maximum temperature of 44.6°C. This was followed by 44.5°C in Mendora (Nizamabad), 44.4°C in Endapalli (Jagtial) and Khanapur (Nirmal), and 44.3°C in Bela (Adilabad), Narayanpet (Narayanpet), and Sircilla (Rajanna Sircilla). Additionally, 44.2°C was recorded in Madnur (Kamareddy) and Akkannapet (Siddipet), while 44.1°C was observed in Kaloor Timmanadoddi (Jogulamba Gadwal).

The districts that recorded temperatures between 43°C and 44°C include 43.9°C in Bheemaram (Mancherial) and Anthergoan (Peddapalli); 43.8°C in Bhoothpur (Mahabubnagar), Venkatapuram (Mulugu), and Nizampet (Sangareddy); 43.7°C in Aswapuram (Bhadradri Kothagudem); 43.6°C in Jammikunta (Karimnagar), Pentlavelli (Nagarkurnool), and Adavi Devula Palli (Nalgonda); 43.4°C in Dharmasagar (Hanumakonda), Mahadevpur (Jayashankar Bhupalpally), and Havelighanpur (Medak); and 43.1°C in Peddamandadi (Wanaparthy).
