There are only 100 days left for eligible Amazon customers to file a claim in the company's $2.5 billion settlement with the Federal Trade Commission.

The window to submit a claim in the settlement closes on July 27. It is the second phase of payouts in the settlement; in the first, eligible customers received automatic payments last year.

In September 2025, Amazon agreed to settle with the FTC to resolve an antitrust lawsuit filed in 2023. The lawsuit alleged Amazon coerced consumers into enrolling in Prime subscriptions and then made those agreements difficult to cancel.

Amazon denied wrongdoing, saying it has "always followed the law" and works to "make it clear and simple for customers" to cancel their Prime membership.

As part of the current phase of payouts in the Amazon settlement, customers must submit a claim to receive payment.
