ISLAMABAD: A retail analytics firm led by Pakistani technologist Dr. Umar Saif announced on Wednesday it has launched a large-scale retail tracking system in Saudi Arabia covering more than 630,000 outlets as it expands in the Gulf’s fast-evolving consumer market.
AiSight.ai is an AI analytics firm based in Boston that was founded by former Pakistani IT minister Dr. Umar Saif. The firm describes itself as a Software as a Service [SaaS]-based data analytics platform that provides FMCG companies with granular and actionable insights to improve their sales and distribution functions and grow their market share.
The firm said in a press release that the platform’s launch comes in response to a strong demand from the market, where traditional market research approaches are struggling to keep pace with the Kingdom’s rapidly evolving retail landscape and shifting consumer behavior.
It said aiSight.ai’s monthly retail audit is designed to capture insights that are currently not available through existing providers.
“aiSight.ai now tracks over 630,000 points-of-sale across KSA, enabling its clients to optimize route-to-market strategies and target the right consumers with greater precision,” the press release said.
