Guys, Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans are fighting again.
Downey's Iron Man and Evans' Captain America tussled to superhero movie lovers' content 10 years ago in "Captain America: Civil War." They're butting heads on screen once more in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but now Downey's under a very different mask.
At CinemaCon, the convention for movie theater owners, Downey was on hand to debut the first trailer for Marvel's "Avengers: Doomsday" (in theaters Dec. 18), which marks the Oscar winner's first appearance as the villainous Doctor Doom.
"What I want to do is give away, like, 37,000 spoilers right now. Should I, just for fun?" Downey said, teasing the crowd that gave him a standing ovation during his entrance. He added that Doom as a character is "wildly epic, to say the least."
Instead of reveals, Downey introduced fresh footage. While Disney didn't release it immediately online and to the public, those in attendance at CinemaCon offered up details on social media. Details apparently included an appearance by the Fantastic Four and a throwdown between Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) and Gambit (Channing Tatum), plus Thor (Chris Hemsworth) battling Doom and Captain America calling on Thor's hammer Mjolnir once more.
