The Jammu and Kashmir Police’s special cell, the State Investigation Agency (SIA), on Thursday (April 16, 2026) filed a chargesheet against 10 accused who were part of the “doctors’ terror module” in Srinagar.

According to the police, among the 10 accused were five doctors, including Umar Un Nabi, a resident of Pulwama’s Koil, who was killed in the Red Fort suicide attack on November 10 last year. The arrested also include a doctor, Shaheen Saeed, from Lalbagh, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

“A substantial body of evidence has been collected, clearly establishing a strong prima facie case against the accused. The accused persons formed a highly clandestine module, actively engaged in radicalisation, recruitment, and operational preparations for carrying out terrorist attacks across the country,” the police said.

The investigation revealed that the group had identified Triacetone Triperoxide (TATP), a highly sensitive and volatile explosive used in several global terror incidents.
