CCTV cameras, SIM cards and solar panel worth ₹7 lakh were handed over to CK Palle Police Station in Ramagiri circle of the district.

The equipment was given to the district Police department by a person from CK Palle, Rammurthy, under the corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity. The CCTVs and others were handed over to Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar by Mr. Rammurthy’s mother Muthyalamma on Thursday (April 16).

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Satish Kumar said they have focused on using both night and day vision drones and also CCTVs for controlling crime. He said they got three night vision drones and seven day vision drones with CSR funds and now they received CCTVs. He said the Police have installed 400 CCTVs across the districts till now.

Mr. Satish Kumar said the CCTVs will also be useful for detection of crime and urged the people and traders under the Dharmavaram sub-division to install CCTVs in front of their houses or shops. He emphasised the vital role being played by technology in prevention and detection of crime and pointed out that the advanced CCTVs also have sound recording feature which will be further useful in detection of crime.

On the occasion, the SP felicitated Ms. Muthyalamma for the act of generosity.
