April 10 (UPI) -- Faces of Death, a new horror film starring Euphoria alum Barbie Ferreira, opens in theaters Friday.
The movie is a remake of the notorious 1978 film of the same name, which presents a series of grisly deaths as if it was a documentary. The original movie was banned in several countries but also developed a cult following.
The new Faces of Death is directed by Daniel Goldhaber and stars Ferreira as Margot, a mod for a video-sharing platform who discovers a killer who appears to be recreating deaths from the original film.
Dacre Montgomery, Josie Totah, Aaron Holliday, Jermaine Fowler and Charli XCX also star in the film. Here is a list of 10 other remakes in the horror genre.
