A girl student of a private nursing college was allegedly forced by the college management to clean bathrooms and wash plates used by other during lunch for the past three days for defaulting on paying the fees. The incident took place on the college campus in Tirupati rural mandal.
It is learnt that the girl had paid the first-year fee of ₹2 lakh, but had delayed paying the second year’s fee.
Upon coming to know about the incident, student union leaders reached the spot and staged a demonstration later in the day, demanding action against the college management representatives for humiliating the student.
Meanwhile, the local police also reached the spot and attempted to pacify the agitators.
