President Donald Trump’s Tuesday declaration that “a whole civilization will die tonight” if Iran ignores his demand to open the Strait of Hormuz was galvanizing for many current and former politicians on both sides of the aisle.

These people didn’t come to social media to praise Trump. Instead, their mission was to garner support for using the 25th Amendment against Trump.

The constitutional amendment outlines the procedures executive branch officials can use to certify a president “is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office” and put the vice president in charge.

Although many politicians called for Trump’s removal in a general sense and others suggested he be impeached for a third time, here are the politicians who have specifically mentioned invoking the 25th Amendment.

Not surprisingly, the vast majority of politicians were Democratic.
