Baniyas Jiu-Jitsu Club finished top of the overall medal standings after the three days of competition, followed by Al-Ain Jiu-Jitsu Club and Sharjah Self-Defence Sports Club.

The focus was very much on families on the final day, which attracted a big crowd that included the young competitors’ relatives among the fans of the sport, reflecting a new “Supporting Family Award” initiative introduced by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation as part of the annual Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Awards

“The success of the second round of the Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship shows the continued growth of jiu-jitsu in the UAE,” said the federation’s vice chairperson Mohammed Salem Al-Dhaheri.
