A deep-rooted conspiracy has emerged in the gruesome murder of four-year-old twin sisters in Jubilee Nagar near Karimnagar on Friday, with the police arresting their father, his parents and brother on Monday.
A detailed investigation, backed by the post-mortem report, unravelled the conspiracy behind the chilling double murder, exposing the deeply entrenched patriarchal mindset of the accused.
The victims, four-year-old twins Geethamshi and Geethanvika, were allegedly killed by their father, Kachu Srisailam (28), a private employee, who drowned them in an agricultural well at Jubilee Nagar on Friday (April 3).
The incident sparked outrage among villagers, who demanded the harshest punishment for the accused, terming the crime heinous.
Acting on credible information, a police team led by Karimnagar Rural Circle Inspector A. Niranjan Reddy apprehended the four accused — Srisailam, his parents Ashok and Lavanya, and his brother Rakesh — from Gopalpur village on Sunday.
