The BJP was committed to making Puducherry a developed region by implementing the promises made by the Prime Minister and the 20-point agenda included in the party’s manifesto for the April 9 polls, its national president Nitin Nabin said on Sunday.
Addressing a public meeting at Thavalakuppam in Manavely constituency here, Mr. Nabin said the next National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government would endeavour to make Puducherry a developed region.
Urging people to vote for the formation of a strong NDA government in the Union Territory, Mr. Nabin said the BJP was committed to the overall development of the Union Territory.
The next NDA government would provide a top-up of ₹3,000 over and above the PM-KISAN financial assistance of ₹6,000. Thus the farmers of the Union Territory would get an enhanced sum of ₹9,000 under the PM-KISAN scheme, he said.
