Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi criticised that Edappadi K. Palaniswami, who mortgaged the AIADMK to the BJP in the last election, has sold it off this time too.
Campaigning in Singampunari, Sivaganga district, in support of the Tiruppattur DMK candidate KR. Periakaruppan, Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin, said, “In five years of Dravidian Model governance, we have fulfilled all the promises made. It is with that confidence that I have come to seek votes this time.”
“In the AIADMK regime, they themselves stopped the laptop scheme provided to school students in 2019. However, the Chief Minister, realising it would be more beneficial for college students, provided 10 lakh laptops to them,” he recalled.
The AIADMK and BJP conspired to stop the Magalir Urimai Thogai Scheme citing the elections. Thwarting that, the Chief Minister gave ₹5,000.
“As Mr. Stalin says, this election is between Tamil Nadu and Delhi. In this, the Delhi team must be defeated. The DMK government has implemented numerous schemes. However, the Central Government did not even provide the funds we requested. Even in the budget, there was no scheme for Tamil Nadu,” he contended.
