Few clothing items are as essential for in-between weather as a luxurious sweater made with cashmere. This sartorial staple covers all my bases (warm, cozy, stylish and timeless) but it often comes with a high price tag. And as much as I love an investment piece, I have been living in this cashmere-blend designer doppelganger that I found at Amazon since last fall — and I’m pleased to share that you can get it for a fraction of the price of most cashmere garments.
This comfortable sweater has an ultra-stylish, slouchy, oversized fit that is eerily reminiscent of The Row’s Ophelia sweater. (Frankly, it’s the best lookalike of this highly-coveted $1,550 sweater I’ve seen yet, down to its many lovely details). The casual silhouette is topped with a ribbed crew neck, cuffs and hem and it features a chic seam rear traveling along the spine.
The sweater has a hefty hand-feel and is incredibly warm and drapes beautifully. The silhouette looks and feels intentional, and the neckline is structured in a way that it almost looks like a mock-neck at times.
It’s fabricated with 15% cashmere that keeps the sweater soft, warm and buttery, while the addition of acrylic ensures it’s hearty and durable. I have put it through the ringer and am pleased to report that after about four months of near-constant use, it’s still in great shape. I make an effort to lay it flat after it’s washed, but to be honest often forget. It hasn’t shrunk or warped yet.
