Melissa Gilbert is speaking out about the ongoing child sex abuse case involving her husband, actor Timothy Busfield, and admitted that it’s “the most traumatizing experience of our lives.”
In an interview set to air Monday on “Good Morning America,” the former “Little House on the Prairie” star said to George Stephanopoulos that the life she shared with her husband of nearly 13 years “is done.”
In the teaser clip below, Gilbert says she and her husband are now “grieving what we had. All of our plans, all of our dreams, all of our ideas, all of our projects.”
She added that things may be easier for her, but “for Tim, it’s done. He’s canceled, and this will never — even if he’s exonerated, he will always be that guy.”
Back in February, a New Mexico grand jury indicted Busfield on four counts of criminal sexual contact with a child. A child had accused the actor of touching him inappropriately while working on the set of “The Cleaning Lady,” a TV series Busfield directed and acted in, between 2022 and 2024.
