Absolutely nothing.” He then told the audience "we live in dangerous times" before going on to condemn Trump's administration as "corrupt, incompetent, racist" and "treasonous." Trump responded to Springsteen's criticism by attacking his apperance—he said Springsteen looks like he's “suffered greatly from the work of a really bad plastic surgeon”—and saying his concerts "SUCK." AMERICA IS BACK!!!” Key BackgroundSpringsteen, who made his billionaire career by singing anti-establishment music that advocated for the working class, has clashed with Trump repeatedly since his first term. In England last year, Springsteen went on stage to call Trump “an unfit president” heading up “a rogue government,” and said the richest men in the United States were “taking sadistic pleasure in the pain they inflict on loyal American workers.” Trump responded by calling Springsteen “highly overrated … not a talented guy – just a pushy, obnoxious JERK.” The contention between the two billionaires dates back to Trump's first election in 2016, when the would-be president used Springsteen's song, “Born in the U.S.A.,” at rallies. Springsteen responded by announcing his support and campaigning for his opponent, Hilary Clinton, and calling Trump a "moron." The rivalry has continued over the last decade, with Springsteen later supporting opponents Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and continuously criticizing Trump on stage, in interviews and on his SiriusXM show. TangentIn his attack, Trump called Springsteen’s tour tickets “OVERPRICED” and encouraged supporters to skip on buying tickets and “SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.” Tickets for The Land of Hope and Dreams tour which have not sold out, sparked outrage from fans over astronomical prices. A number of Springsteen’s tickets were sold as "Platinum" on Ticketmaster, meaning prices got higher in real-time based on demand, and some reached as high as $3,000. For some stops, like the Prudential Center in New Jersey and Madison Square Garden in New York City, the cheapest tickets were selling for more than $275 as of early March.
