Sunny Hostin used Tuesday’s episode of “The View” to slam President Donald Trump after he revealed that the U.S. military looks to construct what he described as a “massive complex” under his proposed White House ballroom.
Hostin told her co-hosts that it’s “disconcerting” to see Trump publicly discuss the feature after he told reporters on Sunday that a “stupid lawsuit” filed against him to block the estimated $400 million project would reveal the information on the underground “shed” anyway.
“Why is there a bunker and are all the billionaires now, if something bad happens, going to — is the plan that all of them going [into] the bunker?” wondered Hostin of the proposed 90,000-square-foot ballroom.
Details have previously emerged on the so-called “underground bunker” following the widely criticized East Wing demolition last year.
Past administrations utilized the space for decades and, now, it would likely need to be rebuilt and fitted with new technology to equip it for “evolving threats” in the future, CNN reported in January.
