The crews of two military helicopters seen hovering outside musician Kid Rock's home were briefly suspended, the US Army confirmed on Tuesday, but hours later Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said they could go back to work.
"No punishment. No Investigation. Carry on, patriots," Hegseth said in a social media post.
The BBC has contacted the Army, which said earlier it had suspended the personnel pending investigation. The musician, a supporter of President Donald Trump, posted a video of himself gesturing at the AH-64 Apaches above his pool on Saturday, prompting many to question what they were doing.
Trump, when asked about it, said in a joking manner: "Maybe they were trying to defend him."
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump said the crews "probably shouldn't have been doing it. You're not supposed to be playing games".
