The Railways on Tuesday announced the operation of bi-weekly special express trains between Charlapalli and Santragachi via Duvvada in Visakhapatnam, to run through April 2026, catering to passengers travelling across the South Central and East Coast Railway corridors.
According to a release issued by Senior Divisional Commercial Manager K. Pavan Kumar, Train No. 07221 Charlapalli-Santragachi Bi-weekly Special will depart Charlapalli at 05.40 hrs every Saturday and Tuesday from April 4 to April 28. It will reach Duvvada at 19.55 hrs the same day and arrive at Santragachi at 11.00 hrs the following day. The service will operate eight trips during the period.
In the return direction, Train No. 07222 Santragachi Charlapalli Bi-weekly Special will leave Santragachi at 12.25 hrs every Sunday and Wednesday from April 5 to April 29. It will reach Duvvada at 03.20 hrs the next day and arrive at Charlapalli at 17.30 hrs. This service will also run eight trips.
The train will have 24 coaches, comprising three 2nd AC, five 3rd AC and ten Sleeper Class coaches.
The train will halt at Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Piduguralla, Sattenapalli, Guntur, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Anakapalli, Duvvada, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road, Palasa, Brahmapur, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore and Kharagpur.
