A gruesome murder in Visakhapatnam’s Gajuwaka area has sent shockwaves through the community after a Navy employee, Ch. Ravindra, was arrested for allegedly killing his paramour and dismembering her body.

The incident happened a few days ago, but came to light on Sunday (March 29, 2026) night.

According to preliminary information from police on Monday (March 30, 2026), the horrific crime took place in a rented house in L.V. Nagar while the suspect’s wife was away visiting her parents. As per the preliminary investigation, the accused was a married man and was alas having an affair with the deceased.

Following a domestic dispute, Ravindra, native of Rajam in Vizianagaram district, reportedly killed the woman and used a sharp tool to cut the body into two parts. He apparently did this to hide the body and suppress the odor of decomposition. while he stored the upper portion of the body in a domestic refrigerator, he packed the lower half in a gunny bag, intending to dispose of the body later in phases.

The incident came to light after local police received a tip-off and raided the premises, discovering the remains in the kitchen area.
