France’s anti-terrorism prosecutor’s office has opened a probe into a suspected attack targeting Bank of America’s
Paris headquarters, it said on Saturday.
In an emailed statement to Reuters, the prosecutor’s office said the investigation involves the suspected attempted destruction by fire or other dangerous means in connection with a terrorist plot, as well as the making, possession and transport of an incendiary or explosive device with intent to carry out dangerous damage.
French police have arrested a man who allegedly attempted to ignite an improvised explosive device outside offices in central Paris, French newspaper Le Parisien reported on Saturday, citing a police source.
