Epstein Survivors Sue Trump Administration For Exposing Their Personal DataIn the wake of the Justice Department's releases of the Epstein files, dozens of survivors have sounded the alarm about its failure to redact their personal information in the documents, including their full names, contact details and banking data. The DOJ has said it's taken down documents containing victim-identifying details and has worked to add redactions, though much of this information has already been exposed. Now, a group of survivors is suing the Trump administration for the oversight. They claim the poorly redacted releases have revealed their identities to the broader public and exposed them to threats and targeting, NBC News reported. The class-action lawsuit, which was filed on Thursday, also named Google for its alleged failure to remove survivors’ personal details revealed in the files. The Justice Department “outed approximately 100 survivors of the convicted sexual predator, publishing their private information and identifying them to the world,” the plaintiffs said in the lawsuit. Neither the DOJ nor Google immediately responded to NBC’s request for comment.Read more from NBC News:See All UpdatesClose
