“Daily Show” host Josh Johnson exposed President Donald Trump’s hypocrisy on mail-in voting by revealing one simple thing the president did himself — vote by mail.
“Trump is standing on principle, the man thinks voting by mail is an existential threat to democracy, full stop, period,” Johnson said on Tuesday’s show before rolling a local news clip revealing that Trump cast a mail-in ballot in a Florida special election on Tuesday.
“Semi-colon, asterisk, dollar sign, number four, exclamation point. That’s me cursing ’cuz Trump lies all the time,” Johnson said.
Johnson proceeded to call out Trump’s unwillingness to cut a deal with Democrats to end the partial government shutdown due to his desire to see the SAVE America Act passed before any other legislation.
“So yes, you’re gonna have to wait in line at TSA like it’s a sneaker drop, because voting,” Johnson said.
