March 24 (UPI) -- Investigation Discovery has announced plans to air a two-night special called Boy Band Confidential in April.

"Boy Band Confidential goes beyond nostalgia. It's an honest, unfiltered look at a cultural phenomenon that shaped an entire generation," Jason Sarlanis, president of ID, said in a statement Tuesday.

"With Joey Fatone bringing together a who's who of artists from the era's most iconic boy bands, we're illuminating the pressures, vulnerabilities, and surprising realities of life at the height of pop stardom with a level of access rarely achieved in music documentaries."

The documentary will air on ID and stream on HBO Max on April 13-14.

It will include interviews with members of NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees, Boyz II Men, O-Town and LFO.
