March 23 (UPI) -- Dwayne Johnson makes his debut as Maui in the trailer for Moana.
The preview, which dropped Monday, shows Johnson with long hair and tattoos.
Maui is the "demigod of the wind and sea" who helps Moana (Catherine Laga'aia) save her people.
"I'm not a princess. I'm the daughter of the chief, leader of my people," Moana declares as the teaser continues.
The film is described as a "live action reimagining of the beloved Oscar-nominated animated adventure," which arrived in 2016 and featured Johnson as the voice of Maui.
