The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII-Andhra Pradesh) held its annual meeting and a conference on ‘Swarna Andhra Pradesh’ at Novotel hotel here on Saturday (March 21), outlining a strategic roadmap for the State’s transition into a global industrial powerhouse by 2047.

Union Minister for Civil Aviation K. Rammohan Naidu, attending as the chief guest, noted that the current environment is highly favorable for ‘Swarnandhra 2047’ vision, with strong support from the Union government fostering partnerships necessary for growth.

The Minister specifically highlighted the transformation of North Coastal Andhra (Uttarandhra), stating that the region has evolved from a perception of low development and GDP into a premier global destination.

CII Southern Region Chairman Thomas John Muthoot emphasized that Andhra Pradesh is integral to South India’s economic progress, particularly as industries shift toward smarter manufacturing systems through Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things and robotics.

CII Andhra Pradesh Industrial Safety Excellence Awards 2025 were presented to 64 companies. S. Narendra Kumar, executive director of Apex Solutions Pvt. Ltd, was officially appointed as the chairperson of CII-Andhra Pradesh for the 2026-27 term.
