March 19 (UPI) -- James Comey, the former director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, has been subpoenaed by the Department of Justice as part of its investigation into a "grand conspiracy" against President Donald Trump.
Comey is one of more than 130 people to have been subpoenaed as the DOJ investigates an alleged conspiracy by Democratic politicians and officials to undermine him since he was first elected to the White House in 2016, Axios reported.
The investigation specifically is focused on the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment on Russia's alleged interference in the 2016 presidential election, Fox News reported.
Comey, as well as former CIA Director John Brennan, have been under criminal investigation by the Trump administration over the 2017 ICA since current CIA Director John Ratcliffe referred both to the FBI for prosecution because it included information from the now-discredited Steele Dossier.
