RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s health sector provided more than 184,000 healthcare services to pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque during Ramadan, it was announced on Thursday.
The figure underscores the Kingdom’s efforts to ensure accessible, high-quality care for all visitors.
A total of 184,509 visits were recorded throughout the holy month as part of an integrated system designed to enhance pilgrims’ health, enabling them to perform rituals safely and comfortably.
Emergency departments accounted for 109,793 visits, while 64,892 patients received primary healthcare services. Hospitals also recorded 8,687 inpatient cases and performed 794 surgeries.
The visits were delivered through coordinated efforts across the Kingdom’s health system, according to the Ministry of Health.
