Premier Giorgia Meloni and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen have sent a letter to the other EU leaders stressing the need to "strengthen European support for populations affected by the conflict in the Middle East," the premier's office said on Thursday.
In the letter, the leaders also called for "coordination in the event of new waves of migration, with the goal of preventing a repeat of the 2015 migration crisis".
