March 18 (UPI) -- GKIDS released the trailer for Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom on Wednesday. The film opens in theaters Sept. 18.
The Aardman animated film sees Shaun and the farm animals hunting a hairy beast at Halloween time. The trailer features several homages to classic horror films, like chainsaws, the Psycho shower scene and both Frankenstein and Dracula's posture.
Shaun the Sheep debuted as a TV series in 2017. Two previous movies were released in 2015 and 2019. Directors Steve Cox and Matthew Walker make their feature film debut with Beast of Mossy Bottom.
Justin Fletcher returns as the voice of Shaun and the other sheep. John Sparkes returns as The Farmer and Kate Harbour as Timmy's Mum.
Mark Burton wrote the film with Giles Pilbrow.
