RIYADH: The Grand Mosque in Makkah and Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah were full of worshippers on Tuesday night for the completion of Qur’an recitation.
Many Muslims aim to recite the entire Qur’an over the holy month of Ramadan, and tens of thousands of worshippers gathered at Islam’s two holiest sites to mark the occasion.
From early in the day, the Prophet’s Mosque’s corridors, courtyards, rooftop and expansions were filled with worshippers and visitors, with rows extending into surrounding streets.
The prayers were led by Imam and Khateeb Sheikh Salah Al-Budair, who prayed for forgiveness and deliverance for all Muslims.
He also asked Allah to protect the Kingdom and the wider Muslim world from harm, to maintain security and stability across Muslim nations, and to guide their leaders toward what benefits Islam and Muslims.
