On a lovely day in mid-March, antiquities looters were busily robbing ancient graves at Khirbet Hermesh in northern Israel, but they were not alone. They were joined by Inspector Nir Distelfeld of the Israel Antiquities Authority Theft Prevention Unit. He was not alone, either.
