After confirming the killings of two senior Iranian security officials, Tehran responded on Wednesday (March 18, 2026) with renewed missile and drone attacks on its Gulf Arab neighbours and Israel. Israel’s medical service said two people were killed in Ramat Gan, a district east of Tel Aviv. Several explosions were also reported from Dubai.

In a major blow to the Islamic Republic’s leadership, Israel on Tuesday (March 17, 2026) said it had killed Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, and Gen. Gholam Reza Soleimani, the head of the Revolutionary Guard’s all-volunteer Basij.
Lebanon’s health ministry said that two Israeli strikes on central Beirut early Wednesday (March 18, 2026) killed at least six people and wounded 24 others, noting the toll was preliminary.
