The United States of America faces Venezuela in the World Baseball Classic championship game on Tuesday night in Miami, with Team USA seeking to win the tournament for the second time.

The Americans defeated a powerful Dominican Republic team in the semifinals, while Venezuela had to dispatch Italy having already eliminated defending champion Japan.

New York Mets right-hander Nolan McLean will start for Team USA in the championship game with only eight MLB starts under his belt.

"I think you're crazy if you don't want to do this, honestly," McLean said a day before his start. "Just getting the opportunity to put USA on your chest and go out there and compete with honestly the best players in the world, I think it's an unbelievable experience for me.
