The Lebanese Red Cross announced that 900,000 people have been displaced since the fighting began, and that many are still stranded on the roads.

"We need all kinds of assistance, the situation in the country is extremely difficult. We call on the international community for urgent assistance to support the thousands of displaced people," the Red Cross director told the Qatari channel Al-Arabi.
