March 13 (UPI) -- Police arrested the person who allegedly provided a gun to the Virginia man who shot three people on the campus of Old Dominion University.

Kenya Chapman was charged on Friday with selling a stolen .22-caliber gun to Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, 36, who opened fire on the university campus the day before, killing one and injuring two others before being shot by a student, Fox News reported.

Jalloh, who spent 7 years in prison after he was convicted for providing ISIS material support, was recently released and was not legally permitted to possess a firearm.

Based on Jalloh's personal and legal history, as well as that he screamed "Allahu Akbar" before opening fire in a classroom, the shooting is being investigated by the FBI as terrorism, The New York Times reported.
