Two Indian nationals lost their lives in an attack in Oman’s Sohar amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia, the Ministry of External Affairs’ spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said on Friday (March 13, 2026). Several other nationals were also injured.

A drone crashed on Friday (March 13, 2026) in an industrial area in the region of Sohar, “killing two foreigners and wounding other people”, the Oman News Agency said.

Expressing condolences, the MEA spokesperson said that the Indian Mission in Oman is in touch with the local authorities and is extending all possible assistance. "We lost two Indian nationals today in an attack in Sohar, Oman in the ongoing conflict in West Asia. Several other Indian nationals were also injured. We express our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. Our Mission in Oman is in touch with the local authorities as well as the employer company and is extending all possible assistance,” Mr. Jaiswal wrote in a post on X.
