Labrinth is taking aim at the entertainment industry in a cryptic new social media post.
On Friday, March 13, the 37-year-old musician took to Instagram to blast both Columbia Records and "Euphoria," the HBO show for which he served as lead composer. "I'm done with this industry," the singer-songwriter wrote over a black screen. The post was not accompanied by a caption.
"[Screw] Columbia. Double [screw] 'Euphoria,'" the statement continued. "I'm out. Thank you and goodnight." USA TODAY has reached out to Labrinth's representatives for comment.
Born Timothy Lee McKenzie, Labrinth rose to fame in the mid-2010s. His 2014 single "Jealous" was certified platinum in the U.K. in 2018, the same year he formed the group LSD alongside DJ Diplo and singer Sia.
Also a rapper and record producer, Labrinth was brought on to score the soundtrack for the debut season of "Euphoria" in 2019, a feat for which he was nominated for two Emmy Awards and took home one.
