March 11 (UPI) -- Syracuse University fired men's basketball coach Adrian Autry after three seasons, Orange athletic director John Wildhack announced Wednesday.

Autry, 54, was a star guard for the Orange from 1990 to 1994. He went on to work as an assistant at the high school level and at Virginia Tech and Syracuse before taking over as Orange head coach in 2023.

He led the Orange to a 49-48 record over the last three years, including their 15-17 mark this season. The 2025-26 Orange ranked 203rd out of 365 Division I programs in points per game. They ranked 193rd in points allowed.

"Adrian first came to Syracuse as a student-athlete in 1990, and this program has been a constant in his life ever since: as a player, assistant coach, associate head coach and ultimately as head coach," Wildhack said in a news release.
