March 11 (UPI) -- Ukraine has hit a plant in Russia that manufactures control systems for missiles, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Tuesday.

"The plant produced electronics and components for Russian missiles. The very missiles that strike our cities, our villages and civilians," he said. Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi informed Zelensky of the strike.

An attack via Iranian-made Shahed drone hit Kharkiv, Ukraine, Wednesday and killed two people and injured five.

The missiles that hit the Kremniy El plant in the Bryansk region of Russia were British Storm Shadows, Ukraine's military said.
