The Milan bourse closed up 2.67% Tuesday after United States President Donald Trump said the Iran war is almost over.
With oil prices dropping by double digits (WTI is currently trading down about 10% at around $85 a barrel), the FTSE MIB index closed up 2.67% at 45,201 points, among the best performing stocks of the day in Europe.
Wall Street also advanced.
The Dow Jones rose 0.52% to 47,990.58 points, the Nasdaq gained 0.61% to 22,834.45 points, and the S&P 500 gained 0.38% to 6,821.71 points.
European stock markets all posted strong gains, the first since the bombing of Iran started 11 days ago.
